Amoxicillin (Amoxil)
Ampicilillin
Peniicillin (PenVK)

TAKE WITH A FULL GLASS OF WATER one hour before or two hours after meals. May be given with meals. Avoid fruit juice.

Atovaquone (Mepron)

Take with meals high in fat to increase the amount of drug that goes into your body.

Azithromycin (Zithromax)

Take on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after meals. (capsules only)

Ciprofloxacin (Cipro)
Levofloxacin (Levaquin)
Norfloxacin (Noroxin)
Ofloxacin (Floxin)
Doxycycline (Vibramycin)
Minocycline (Minocin)
Tetracycline (Acromycin,
    
                 Sumycin)

Milk or milk products; antacids that contain calcium, magnesium or aluminum; and iron supplements will decrease the amount of drug that goes into your body. Take these medications two hours before or two hours after you have any of these products. Take with food to decrease GI upset.

Erythromycin
        (E-Mycin, EES, ERYC)

Take with food to decrease GI effects.

Metronidazole (Flagyl)

Take with food to avoid stomach upset. Do not drink alcohol and alcohol-containing products (will cause flushing, headaches, upset stomach of dizziness).
